Chronic Disease and Diabetes Management
Amador’s walk-in clinic can address your chronic conditions and diseases, including diabetes management, to ensure that your conditions are well-managed and under control. Your long-term health is our top priority.
Medications are vital for recovery and disease management. Our care team understands the complexities of your medications, ensuring that you are comfortable with and knowledgeable about what you take.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
Medication-assisted treatments enable people to take control of their substance use disorders with an opioid replacement such as methadone or buprenorphine, which are both narcotic substitutes, and a non-narcotic opioid blocker like naltrexone. At Amador Health Center, we use oral and injectable naltrexone (the injectable form is called Vivitrol®), which treats both alcohol and opioid use disorders.
Substance Use Services
Our walk-in clinic offers substance use services beyond MAT, including diagnosing your disorder, developing a treatment plan, and tailoring treatment to match your behavior patterns and goals. Our goal is your long-term recovery and a better quality of life with health and wellness.
At Amador Health Center we provide sports physicals and consultations for children and adults requiring such medical reviews for a team sport. Amador’s clinicians provide thorough, yet rapid sports physicals to get you back in the game.
Telehealth (Psychiatric Evaluations and Prescriptions)
Our Telehealth services allow our specialists to connect with you via electronic devices, providing in-depth psychiatric evaluations & prescriptions regardless of location, transportation, or ability to pay.
Our walk-in clinic providers recommend Medicaid programs for our qualifying patients, and can even help you enroll in such programs to open up accessibility to further healthcare resources and vital emergency services.
Doña Ana County Health Program Enrollment (Indigent Care Services)
Amador’s walk-in clinic team is well-versed in Doña Ana County’s health program for indigent patients, providing the insider advice and support you need to enroll in their program and get the community help that you need.
