Medication Management

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Medication-assisted treatments enable people to take control of their substance use disorders with an opioid replacement such as methadone or buprenorphine, which are both narcotic substitutes, and a non-narcotic opioid blocker like naltrexone. At Amador Health Center, we use oral and injectable naltrexone (the injectable form is called Vivitrol®), which treats both alcohol and opioid use disorders.

Substance Use Services
