Inclusive care services
LGBTQ+ Support
Many members of the LGBTQ+ community experience rejection, confusion, and isolation from the world after coming out, often feeling that there’s no safe place to turn. Whenever you need it, our doors are always open to you for support, health services, and community resources. Our team can provide transgender/gender non-conforming (GNC) health education, therapeutic counseling and referrals, and additional LGBTQ+ support that puts your safety and comfort first. If you’ve felt rejected by family and loved ones, isolated from your community, or are just in need of an ear to listen, we’re here. Undocumented immigration services
The social stigma surrounding immigration is at an all-time high right now, making immigrants feel unwelcome and unwanted in our country. Here at Amador, we’re working every day to eliminate that stigma and make all feel like they belong. If you or someone you know has recently immigrated to America and is awaiting citizenship, finding health resources can seem like an impossible task. Amador Health Center provides free and unconditional health services to all, regardless of immigration status. If you and your family are in dire need of medical care, stop by our center today to feel welcome, wanted, and heard.
Homeless Clinic Expertise
Amador Health Center is connected to a network of surrounding community resources, including homeless clinic support and housing help. Our 3-year-long program, Hurry Home, was a collaborative effort funded via government grants that aimed to find housing, mental health, employment, and recovery services for 105+ people throughout the Las Cruces area. In September 2018, the Amador Health Center received a 5-year grant from SAMHSA/CSAT for a Grant for the Benefit of Homeless Individuals (GBHI) for substance use disorders (SUD). We also are an active member of the National Health Care for the Homeless Council, creating a strong nationwide database for homeless clinic support. Our homeless clinic provides health, hygiene, and kits for all in need of caring support and healing hands. Amador’s homeless clinic support is always free of judgment, critique, and requirements — if you need help, we’re happy to provide it.
