Behavioral health services

Therapeutic Counseling, Assessment, Diagnosis, Treatment Plan

Amador Health Center’s mental health clinic addresses your internal struggles through a top-down approach of therapeutic counseling, followed by a mental health assessment, disorder diagnosis, and individualized treatment plan to resolve your unease.

CCSS (Comprehensive Community Support Services)

We at Amador Health Center utilize CCSS to support individual resiliency, rehabilitation, and/or recovery for folks with Medicaid who have mental health and/or substance use problems. We can help connect you to a larger network of resources that can provide the encouragement and expertise that your unique circumstances require.

SBIRT+ (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment)

Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) is an evidenced-based clinical practice used to identify, reduce, and prevent problematic use, abuse, and dependence on tobacco, alcohol, and illicit drugs or painkillers. With early intervention, information, education and assistance may be offered to prevent further complications or later consequences of substance use. Brief treatment with individual counseling is provided as well.

Case Management

The sole duty of the case managers at our behavioral health clinic is to help you achieve your recovery goals while you’re a patient of Amador, providing access to public services, treatments, and activities that can deepen & enhance your journey.

Medication Assisted Treatment/Support Counseling

Our medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is only as effective as the support and counseling of our behavioral health clinic, ensuring your deeper dependence issues are unveiled, addressed, and resolved, creating profound and lasting results. We use both oral and injectable naltrexone for alcohol and opioid use disorders.

MH/SUD Individual Assessment/Evaluation, Diagnosis, Treatment, & Counseling

Amador’s mental health clinic specializes in behavioral issues related to Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and Mental Health/Substance Use Disorders (MH/SUD), accurately identifying, diagnosing, evaluating, and treating your disorders with care and concern.

SMART Recovery Meetings

Amador’s behavioral health clinic is a safe and secure space for SMART (Self-Management and Recovery Training) Meetings, where the key focus is a welcoming atmosphere, alcohol & drug abstinence, and confidential communications and discussions. These meetings, online or in person, are also important for relapse prevention purposes.

Relapse Prevention

Classes, meetings, and sessions are also held at our open behavioral health clinic, which specialize in providing community support for recovering individuals at risk of potential relapse. This warm and welcoming space enables members to find the strength to pursue their recovery goals and objectives. Seeking Safety principles are incorporated into these individual and small group sessions.
