Position Summary: Amador Health Center is seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) to provide high-quality outpatient behavioral health services at our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Our patients include adults, children, families, and individuals experiencing homelessness or other complex life circumstances.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively within an integrated primary care and behavioral health model. Experience with trauma-informed care, brief interventions, and collaborative team-based treatment is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly desired.
Major Activities and End Results:
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based, trauma-informed, culturally responsive approaches.
- Participate actively in interdisciplinary care teams, including medical, behavioral health, case management, and outreach.
- Support the Behavioral Health Director in maintaining smooth clinical operations and integrated workflows.
- Collaborate with the Quality Improvement (QI) team on data-driven projects aimed at improving patient outcomes.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record and adhere to all compliance standards, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to support patients with co-occurring medical, behavioral health, and social needs.
- Provide crisis intervention support as needed during clinic hours.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience providing outpatient behavioral health services to underserved and/or high-acuity populations.
Competency in evidence-based interventions, including brief therapy, CBT, MI, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused modalities.
Desired Qualifications:
Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, complex trauma, substance use, or co-occurring disorders.
Experience collaborating within an integrated primary care environment.
Familiarity with QI processes and outcome tracking.
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
Current NM licensure as LPCC or LMFT (or LMHC nearing independent licensure may be considered depending on role).
Other Requirements:
State-issued driver’s license, Criminal background check, Pre-employment drug test.
