Dr. Fatima McElveen, DNP

Medical Director

Fatima McElveen is a certified Adult Geriatric Primary Care and Psychiatric Mental Health Care Nurse Practitioner who completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from Vanderbilt University. She has been working at Amador Health Center since 2015, where her focus is on helping marginalized populations, including those experiencing homelessness, migrant farmworkers, and individuals suffering from mental health illnesses. Fatima is passionate about her work and has had the opportunity to work with community health mobile health units in downtown Honolulu, Hawaii. In this capacity, she has provided care and support to individuals experiencing homelessness and has served as one of the street medicine providers. Fatima’s professional focus is to reduce barriers to care and increase access to critical health services for at-risk populations through innovative health delivery models.
