Pamela has been a director of non-profit agencies since 1995. She received her Master of Public Administration from New Mexico State University in 2004, and her Bachelor of Arts, English: Professional Writing in 1988 from the University of New Mexico. She has a love of program development, taking ideas, and putting them into action to help people in the community in need of services. Working outside the box weaves creativity into the workplace.

After starting several small businesses Eileen graduated with honors from Western New Mexico University with a degree in accounting. She then provided financial management and over-site to nonprofit organizations for more than twenty years, lastly retiring as the CFO of a Federally Qualified Health Center. When the finance director position with Amador Health Center became available, she left retirement to help us fulfill our mission.

Fatima has a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Vanderbilt University, a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, and a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Middle Tennessee State University. Fatima’s passion for providing care in a community health setting stems from her providing primary care to individuals experiencing homelessness in Waikiki, Hawaii at Care-A-Van Clinic in 2013. Fatima started working at Amador Health Center in November 2015 as the first full-time medical provider and has progressed to her current position as Chief Medical Office today. Fatima has a strong background in service and focuses on the biopsychosocial health of all individuals.

Dr. Wash graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in 1990. She has a Master of Science degree in biology (1988, UNM), a residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine-Tulsa (1990-1993), and a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the University of Texas, Southwestern in Dallas (1993-1996). She has worked in private practice in hematology and medical oncology in San Antonio, Texas, and now Las Cruces, since 1996. Dr. Wash has served on the board of directors for Mesilla Valley Hospice for several years and was their medical director. Dr. Wash has a strong belief in providing quality patient care to people regardless of their ability to pay and was drawn to Amador by its mission.

Jesus is a bilingual licensed mental health counselor. He graduated from New Mexico State University with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. Jesus specializes in treating anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and relational issues. Additionally, he has experience working with the LGBTQ+ community. Jesus specifically practiced helping individuals navigate their sexuality, self-esteem, and gender concerns. He approaches counseling from a strength-based perspective. Thus, Jesus utilizes relational cultural therapy as a framework. He views his clients’ issues by examining their strengths, resourcefulness, and life journey. Each person has a unique experience in life; therefore, he utilizes other treatment modalities such as solution-focused therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and expressive arts therapy. Finally, Jesus enjoys working at a community health center because he believes in providing accessible and affordable medical and mental health services to the community.

Ray comes to Amador Health Center after a long career in public health with city, county, state, and federal systems, working in Los Angeles, Houston, Albuquerque, El Paso, and Las Cruces. He served with the NMDOH as the Southwest Region Public Health Director from June 2001 to August 2015. His support of AHC started in 2002 when he initiated sharing the vital work of Public Health clinical staff with AHC. With a SAMHSA GBHI Notice of Award in September 2018, Ray accepted the position of Director of Substance Use Services with the Amador Health Center. His passion for public health and addiction recovery are invaluable assets to the Amador Recovery Project here at AHC.
