Position Summary
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at Amador Health Center will deliver essential mental health services through direct patient counseling, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for diverse patient populations, including adults and children. This role is integral to Amador Health’s integrative behavioral health and primary care approach, providing services in-house, via telehealth, and in community settings, including our mobile medical unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient screenings, assessments, and diagnoses and provide individual and group therapy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, attending formal and informal mental health and substance use disorder case meetings.
- Support targeted populations, particularly the LGBTQ+ community (including gender-affirming services), migrant and agricultural workers, and those experiencing homelessness or substance misuse.
- Engage in behavioral health and substance use disorder education and counseling.
- Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and documentation within the EHR.
- Provide on-site and off-site services, potentially requiring personal transportation to various locations.
- Facilitate access to recovery-oriented services, employing evidence-based practices tailored to diverse and vulnerable populations.
- Respond to crises, offering immediate support as needed.
Qualifications
- Required: Current LCSW license in New Mexico; ability to communicate detailed information effectively verbally and in writing.
- Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish; experience in CBT, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and working with underserved populations.
